The Words will be performing an acoustic set in London this evening as main support for Babyshambles pair Drew McConnell & Mik Whitnall. The gig is at Dirty South and entry is £12 on the door.

The Words new single ‘Head Over Heels’ is released on Phoenixx Records on June 25th and will be available on all major download sites. The track is the 3rd and final single from the bands debut album ‘Truth & Faith’ and will have one of The Words classic tracks ‘I’m Not Listening’ as the b-side.
The single is currently getting airplay on regional stations up and down the country already being playlisted by several station as well as being picked up for airplay by Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and influential BBC presenter Tom Robinson for his BBC 6 Music show.

We recently secured a slot for The Words at the Now We Are Weekender festival in West Brom. The band performed one of their brand new tracks at the festival and it was filmed and put on YouTube for the world to enjoy and here it is….
